PRESS PROFESSIONALISM AND GRIND MODE -WWW.GRINDMODEPRESS.COM
With the invention of the Internet there can be no doubting that artists realized that they had more power to promote themselves at their disposal. Taking the control back (at least somewhat) from the hands of record label bosses and managers it seemed that a golden age for artists was imminent. However with the advancements came a price – that of professionalism.
While the placing of a profile on a networking community and the obvious promotional power that gave is clear to see, it seems that with this self-control there was also a marked decrease in the quality of promotions.
Publicists and promoters excel in their respective fields because they know what they are doing. As an industry insider myself I have seen some truly shocking examples of self-promotion, to the degree whereby rather than helping somebody’s career they actually harmed it. Poorly produced, presented or written publicity actually has a negative effect on an artists career and leads me to feel that sometimes it would have been better to present nothing at all.
A well-produced, slick press release can pay dividends, however. It is important to make sure you are represented in the best way possible but far too often people feel that a link to their (for example) MySpace page will suffice. Quite frankly, it doesn’t. Such networks are OK for friends and acquaintances but when it comes to working with business professionals you need to maintain that business-like edge. Also, many industry insiders are too busy or simply will not bother hitting a link to see your website. Rightly or wrongly, they just won’t: fact.
So, with that in mind you need to a) present yourself professionally and b) give all the information you need as effectively as possible. It is for that reason that Grind Mode created Grind Mode Press. It is a tool for you, the artist, to present yourself professionally to your target. We took a long time creating it to ensure it was as effective as possible – using our insider knowledge, not to fleece our people but to give you a helping hand in the game. Grind Mode has always been about supporting those who run with us and Grind Mode Press is simply an extension of that.
With this tool you can send your bio, press releases and even your music direct to your sources. We even provide some names for you to send to in order to get you started, and with our system you get real feedback on every track you send out.
I won’t front, it took me a minute to get really accustomed with everything that Grind Mode Press offers to you, the user. And as such, you may need to take a minute too. However, our team are here to help you get the most out of the service and it really is something unique in what it offers. This may sound like an extended sales pitch, but trust me – it’s not. In fact we are offering free trials to those who check in with us quickly on this one.
If it was about the money we would simply go the same route as many others and give you a substandard service that just about does the job. But no, Grind Mode Press gives so many added extras that it really needs looking at. I can’t stress it enough and, having got fully to grips with it all myself this week I decided to use this Editorial to give you the inside scoop. Any questions – just ask me and I will do what I can to answer them personally. That is the level of my belief that this is something you should be looking into.
Be professional about your business and don’t throw a spanner in your own game by cutting corners. Check out www.GrindModePress.Com today and take advantage of our offers – they won’t last forever.
